can it start without the crank sensor?

Default can it start without the crank sensor?

so i have a 97 civic with obd 1 gsr block and obd 2 b16 head. i am using a 97 civic ex harness and the block doesnt have the crank sensor as you know. but i am gonna buy obd2 to obd 1 converter and use a obd 1 gsr ecu. so you think it will start? thanks.

are you currently using a usdm obd2 ecu? well if you want to bypass the CFK sensor then just get an obd1 ecu. If you want to stick to obd2 then find a jdm obd2 ecu because it bypasses the second o2 sensor as well as the CFK sensor

well right now i am using usdm 97 type r ecu. but i am going to buy obd2 to obd1 converter and use obd 1 gsr ecu.

rare item.. the usdm 97 type R ecu.. Where did you get that from? heres a trick to bypass it my friend. It will save you trouble in the meantime.

my friend had a 97 type r and he parked it outside and took lot of things off at night including the ecu and still got jacked so sold me the ecu. sad... but thanks for the link very helpfull
