just swapped motor...dash lights dont work..

Default just swapped motor...dash lights dont work..

i just put a d series motor back into my 92 eg dx hatchback.... and the headlights and turn signals work and hazards and everything work but the gauge cluster lights, climate control lights and dash lights dont work...

any clues???
i dont understand which fuses to check for this or what else it could be???


thanks for any help! its basically the last thing im getting down to

also i have a broken speed sensor in right now i dont know if that would have to do with any of it though??

Did you mess with the cabin harness behind the dash? I would remove the cluster and check the ground and the harness for the cluster/climate control to see if its actually still attached to the cabin harness. Something might have came loose annd also double check the fuse.

go underneath your steering wheel, take a flash light and check all your fuses!! this will take time but its worth it if you have a single problem. Also are you reusing the original engine harness off your car?

yes im using the stock harness... and i didnt mess with the cabin harness...ill check tomorrow but i dont even know where the ground is behind the cluster but ill take a look

any other ideas???

The ground from the cluster harness is connected to the metal bar behind the cluster.
