my zc isnt turning over ..the starter is working but just doesnt want to turnover..i had this problem last summer too..but it always seam to turn on after a few minutes.. this only happens when its a hott day..what could it be?? need help

 

try changing main relay

 

I had the same problem with my a6 during the really hot days and it did turn out to be the main relay. Changed it out and have yet to have a repeat of the issue.

 

where is the main relay at exactly..

 

driverside,under dash by hood release...use a 10mm wrench and unclip the old relay and put in the new...should take no more than 3 minutes to change...!!!

its located were the fuses are at right!!i just pulled this one straight out with out a 10mm

 

on the left hand side of the fuses located next to the hood release bolted to the frame slightly under the inner dash board...!!!

 

thanks man i found it ..whent to the auto part and they wanted 50 bucks for it no refund if its not the prob ..chale.. ill just wait to go to the junkyard..hopefully thats whats causing this

 

hey player there are plenty of people selling them main relays in the marketplace or on craigslist for like $10...next time search before you buy but then again you did get it brand new so hopefully that was the problemo

 

naw i didnt buy it it was too much im gonna roll to the junkehh..pocket it to see if thats the problem
