I need a set of airbags, and saw some on ebay. It says its for a 97, and my car is a 94. I looked it up on Myhondaparts.com and they give a slightly diffrent number for them both...

97= 06780-SR2-A81ZA

and

94 = 06780-SR2-A80ZA

So, will it fit anyway, or is it a totally different part, and I have to get one for a 94?

Well I looked a bit more and found that 94 and 95 are the same number, while 96 and 97 are the other number.

Its about $100 difference, so if I could save that, it would be awesome!

The wire harnesses are different too. So I guess that means I'm SOL?

I don't think OBD1 SRS wiring works for OBD2+ SRS components.

 

Well, my friend who has 2 sols, told me if you use the whole set, drivers, pass, unit and clock spring, it will work in a 94.

So I'm going to try it out, if not, its goin back on ebay.

Let ya know in about a week or so!

 

I tried it, and it FAILED.

I would have to change the WHOLE thing ,including the steering wheel, and more than I want to imagine.

So to sum up this thread..

93= 93

94-95= 94-95

and of course

96-97 FITS ONLY 96-97

No lol. But if I cant sell the 97s, I may make a youtube vid of them blowing up!

Its a completely different animal. The plugs are diff etc... and you cant get past that because it plugs into the cruse control buttons.

It MIGHt work, if you used EVERYTHNING from a 96-97. but that may also include converting the CAR to ODBII!! lol

I gave up, and I bought a set of 95 bags that fit from a local parts car.. I would have in the first place, but he didn't have the dash cover part, and I can't fix mine..

At least now I have that pass dash cover, and the correct bags, so I will put the rest for sale on here locally, or the other options, if no one needs em here
