i have a stock 03' ep3 what is the best swap you can do, ive heard the k20a type s swap is the best but is costly. Im looking to spend 5-7grand.

 

you already have a k20 why not just build it and boost it

 

i would leave it alone and work on what you got ... if u still had to swap the only motor i would do is the rsx type r swap ... but honestly for the money you can build your motor up

 

yeah but by the time i build it to with stand a turbo, its practically will be as strong as k20a from a type s. Because the k20a3 is hella weak and has no patential. I just dont know what to do because a full swap is roughly 8800 running, and building it would be cheaper but more work.

 

I think a Frankenstein K will turn out nice in a EP3. A K24a2 block and a K20a head? From what I hear it still pulls the same HP with a few more torque from the TSX block.

 

hell id buy another ep3 if i had 5-7 grand laying around.....

OR

u can get an a2 from a wrecked type-s pretty cheap. You can make 200hp for around $2000 after u sell your a3. U should be able to get about 1500 for it so itd definetly help. Use the rest of your money to build it or turbo? I wouldnt mind having 200hp tho, use the rest for a down payment on a house!

 

why not use that money for something more productive than building a motor in a cheap car?

Yeah thats a good idea, but i would think it would be hard to find an a2 thats wrecked laying around at a junk yard that hasnt already been striped. I live in seattle and people will do anything for a2 an a1 engine parts haha

 

Even so, look online. I saw a full a2 swap on here not too long ago. Ill keep an eye out for u. look on Hondamarketplace too.
