Default Flywheel Quality?

My pressure plate in my 97 gs-r went out, so i was planning to replace the whole clutch with a exedy oem replacement clutch. I was gonna replace the flywheel as well. Unfortunately im not to knowledgeable about flywheels. And I was just wondering if the quality of the flywheel matters, as to me it looks like a hunk of metal that really can't fail.
