Default Body kit? Anti-rice

Hey, I want to get a body kit for my 1995 Honda Accord 4dr lx. but i dont want anything too "extreme" if you know what im saying? want something Different from the original bumbers and skirts...but nothing Drastic like the ones ive been seeing around lately like this one http://images.extremedimensions.com/...tscomplete.jpg
I just want somin kinda plane but different from the original. I really dont like the Whole Rice scene and im trying to stray away from it.

I disagree one hundred percent. The only reason why someting is 'rice' is because someone doesn't like it, and now they have a word to describe something they don't like. What I find to be complete bullshit, is how so many people go walking around talking about how body kits are gay, rice rice, blah blah, and yet when they pick up a magazine with an EVO8 on the cover, fully clad in body kit material, they proudly exclaim, that's tight dude! Nah nah, see, body kits are do what you wanna do. I'm putting a body kit on my car, I don't give a damn if someone thinks it's rice or not. Because all that really means, is that they don't like it. Well fug em if they don't like it.

If I were you, I would spend less time worrying about someone is going to say about your car, and spend more time looking for body kits that YOU like.

A lot of people will tell you to just get a lip and call it a day. I don't play that game, cuz it's too damn boring. I'm the kind of person that would rather do something different.

Google is your friend, seriously...
aerotrends.com
bodykits.com
extremedimensions.com
ilovebodykits.com
grounddynamics.com
cwestusa.com
chargespeed.com
origin-lab.com
re-amemiya.co.jp

not all of them will have kits for your accord, but there are a ton of sites out there.

Yah i see what your sayin. And u know, im not gunna give a **** about what other people think. but im still thinkin i want a layed back body style just because i like to be different. and now adays goin with those extreme body kits isnt different, i was thinkin you know the body kits for the vw gti. where its just a long flat strait down smooth bumper. i was thinkin maybe somin like that. The whole reason i got the accord was to be different from all those civics everyone has. I just feel the steriotypical "ricer" look isnt as Unique as id like it. i was jusst wondering if anyone had seen any kits that are semi close to what im thinkin. sorry if im not making sense.

I get what you mean. Also think about if you got a body kit and filled a hole or two, if it would turn out the way you want.

DUdeeeeeeeeeee

Lip, Sideskirts, rear lip possibly depending on the application.. Thats ALL you can do to a honda and keep it from looking like hell. The ones you posted, are indeed rice but if you want them, go for it. You say you dont want something rice, do not buy either of those then

ROFL at a few of these responses, he said he was trying to stay AWAY from kits like the one posted, I would agree with others about a lip kit and maybe a little shaving. The majority of kits do not fit right or flow, that's what makes them ricey...even some JDM **** gets ricey at times. Honestly ricey or not build your car for you, and it does not have to be JDM to be clean. Good luck on your search.

really? open your eyes more and look around. the bumper cover (yes, entire bumper cover) I'm buying for my car is part of a "kit" but it's track proven to lower engine temps by 18*. Quite possibly why it's found on half the 91-95 track civics in Japan...

thanks for all the advise guys, And Duc_du is right. Some kits are tasteful and flow, but some are jstu too much. ill get pics up soon. its stock bumper. i think a Stock bumper with a bigger grill on the bottom end of it would look alright. but idk. im just gunna keep looking around. But for those people that understand what im getting at. if you happen to see anythin you think might be what im lookin for, itd be great if u could send me the link.

imo your best bet would be to add juss a lip kit
and maybe a grill and jdm head lights
ive seen some real clean accord and all theyve done is juss lip kit
wid some jdm headlights. Ive installed a bodykit on one of my teachers cars
at school
everybody laughed at him

body kits are not always ricey, although most everything you see on a daily basis is ricey as ****. i dont agree with everything in this thread however there are many body kits i would rock and consider tasteful

Do it, dude. JDM is big right now..but I bet 80 percent of the JDM freaks
were sporting kits, lips, spoilers, wings and whatever else a couple years
ago. In two years, they will be giving people **** for the "JDM" stuff on
their cars because something else will be big.

It's all bullshit. If you dig that kit, rock it. All these trends make me want
to deck my car out in rhinestones with a florescent paint job and a
six foot wing...like, "What's up, dudes? Can I roll with you?"

Thanks D16SiHatch. that thread you posted helped alot, and that right there is what i am getting at. you see the hondas in those pictures and they dont look like a 16 dumbass with his daddy's money put the car together. it looks clean, sporty, yet still unique enough from the original body style. Im gunna definately check out what C West has for Accords
