Default VTEC QUESTION!

have a JDM 2nd gen. b16a with obd1 p30.
what would cause not to hear vtec?
everything runs strong but cant hear vtec?
NO CEL. OIL IS GOOD.

either somethings wrong and it isn't engaging, which you would notice, or your idea of vtec engaging is different than you think...

i use to have a b16a2 in the car. vtec i can hear it roar. but this one i cant hear it scream or roar at all. idk i gotta check it. no CEL either

i was sitting on the passenger. passenger do feel all the power instead of driver.

Grounded? i dont remember Vtec Solenoid needing to be grounded. but i didnt do the swap so i wouldn't know but i'll check on tat too.

the wires for your vtec pressure switch.. one goes back the the shock tower the other is a ground to the solenoid. if there isn't any CEL's then you need to clean the vtec solenoid out and make sure you have your oil topped off.

he meant the mph not the rpms. if the vss is bad your mph tach wont work not letting vtec engage.

Yeah, theres three wires on the silenoid, 2 to the ecu and 1 is grounded... Yea, Ur MPH tach also has something to do with vtec cracking...

You dont always hear vtec. It depends on the exhaust, the intake, and where the x-over is in relation to stock. Most times it's almost unnoticeable though.
