Default miss firing

ok so ive replaced head gasket valve cover gasket tube seals plugs and wires and still im miss firing only thing im yet to try is the dizzy any other ideas out there

thanks in advance "i know this is a lame thread just trying to get my car running a little better so i can start driving it again i dont trust it HAHA"

check the timing, it could be off since you did the head gasket, also check the the stupid things first such as the order of the plug wires on the dizzy...sounds stupid but it happens.

as soon as that sun comes back up ill be out there trying to figure it out

thanks man! maybe change the dizzy and try advancing the time and stuff?

Start by inspecting the contact points inside the cap and on the rotor and, as already mentioned, check the ignition timing with a timing light and with the service connector jumped.

Is the CEL ON?

no lights just a bad dizzy now i cant seem to find one HAHA just my luck

anyone have a d18b8 dizzy i put all new interior all new stuff on the outside and getting it ready for paint and it wont run

A bad dizzy can certainly cause misfiring, but why do you think that the entire dizzy must be replaced (rather than simple dizzy components) and that non-dizzy issues are not involved?

well my old one was super bad was really worn down so i went to the junk yard to see what i could find and only thing i could come up with was a z6 which dosent fit so i had to make it work to get my car home and well now im just trying to find one
