Changed head gasket on my Shuttle - wont run properly now...
Hello,
today I changed the head gasket on my 87 Civic Shuttle, D16A7 (A6 without cat) engine. I plugged everything the way it was before, sensors, vacuum and everything. The timing belt is also in the right position. I tried to adjust the distributor too, but it just wont run properly. It's hard to describe, but it idles fine and all, but it just wont pull and especially on low rpms, but it's still just half power on high rpm too... I tried new spark plugs, plug wires, another distributor, changed TB (along with sensors). What could possibly be wrong???!
From idle its really noticable slow up to 2200-2500rpm, it just "dies" once u press down the pedal...
Any ideas?

Lack of power... can be so many things. The easy stuff...
-compression check
-fuel pressure: the fact that pressing the pedal makes it stall is somewhat related to a lack of gas or fautly accelerator valve for initial start.
-timing, if you have a timing light, does it match the specs. IIRC you need to keep the vacuum plugged in...

Make sure you're lining the crank up to the mechanical timing mark, and not the ignition timing marks.
