Default Odd Steering wheel allignment?????

My steering wheel seems to change from off center to the left, then to the right throughout the day. Maybe play in the shaft? Could someone help with this problem....I would like to know if this is a major saftey hazard, or just some play in the steering box or rack?

Get an alignment. Start there.

Had the car aligned, It wasn't out of alignment. Tires are wearing perfectly. What I was trying to say is that the steering wheel is sometimes off center to the left, and then sometimes to the right. It seems like there is something loose in the column?

What do u think if the car just shakes at 55 mph. dosent do it at 45 or 65, do u think the tires just need to be balanced?

look for tears in the boot and grease sprayed all over everything else. Also check for play in the wheel, jack up the car and shake the wheel top to bottom and front to back, If there is play top to bottom it would be wheel bearings, if its front to back then check the tir rod ends.
