I am currently building a b16a2 thats almost complete, most of the parts such as post mount, oil pump, water pump, and pistons are off of my JDM b16a. .. heres my problem, my timing belt doesnt fit, it seems like its a couple centimeters too small. I routed the belt the way it was described in the SI shop manual and NO LUCK, and with maximun pressure applied to the spring/tensioner, it hits the oil pump. making it so i CANT get the couple centimeters i need for proper fitment. Timing is also purrr fect.

any ideas???

 

What timing is that you're using?


on the first part of the quote sounds like the timing is too short and wont wrap around... then on the second part of the second it seems like you CAN get the belt to wrap around all the components.. im kind of confused here, what exactly do u mean by that?

probably have the wrong belt or you doing something wrong
