I had to drive him home from the office today and he was saying oh the Jag is faster than this, the mustamg coudl kick this cars ***.. Yada yada. Well I had plans to go out with friends. So I droped myself off at my friends place and gave him the keys. He pops the clutch as he is leaving squealing the tires. Now I know where I get it from LOL!!! But the best part is this morning my mom tells me to go get ear plugs because my car is so loud. Guess he had a headache by the time he got home. LOL He dissed the R and got owned!!!!

Anybody else ever get comments about how the car is? Parents or significant other?

Oh hell yeah, my mother hates my car...."its so buzzy". you should of seen her when she had to put on the harnessess and sit in my torinos. Classic. My dad drives my car like its a damn race car...hell yeah dad

 

My mom is classic. Step dad goes to test drive a Z3.. pulls out for the test drive with mom's in the passenger seat, and proceeds to drive under the speed limit. Mom, "Are you going to test drive this thing or not!?!". Makes pops pull over, and get in the passenger seat and proceeds to FLOOR it every chance she gets. Pops comes back from the test drive with bright eyes and brown shorts They bought the car, but mom isn't allowed to drive it

My dad takes the R out once in a while for a spin. When stunnas pull up next to him and check out the car, he's been known to show them who's boss. He's always asking to drive it when I'm around. I guess he must like it a bit. He will 66 this year!

I'm with y0shi - old ladies love yellow.... it's so 'cute' and 'bright'.

I couldnt believe he thought it was loud. This coming from a guy who had a 72 340 cuda with headers and exhaust. Has a Cobra convert with SVO side pipes. But now he has a Jag and an Escalade. I guess my car is pretty loud when you compare it to a Jag and Caddy...

My mother wants very badly to take the car to a track. She did the Richard Petty driving experience and loved it. Its to bad Im selling the car, I would have loved to see GeorgeKnighton aka G'money giving her the pass signal at Summit Point.

 

I was gonna say the same Dave. ITR with Mugen TL is pretty damn quiet. I guess when he was flooring it in VTEC the motor is making all the noise.. lol..

My dad has occasionally driven my Si, and he floors it!! He says my car is too loud also. APEXi N1 catback is a bit loud. This is from a guy that drives a Ferrari on the weekends. lol..

My dad gets to drive the R every once in a while, and always comes back with a silly grin on his face. I love watching him take off, seeing the R in action. You just never get to appreciate the exterior when you're driving it I guess.

well i dont have an R but a few weeks back i took my dad to the store to pick up my cherry picker. he said he wanted to see how my car felt. so i hit the on ramp onto the highway went through 2 gears shifting about 9k, he about **** his pants. he said it was way faster than he expected. i guess thats the difference between the "muscle car" days and the "technology rules" days. it doesnt have torque but it wails on V8s all day long. his car bested high 13s back in the day.

 

LOL I think its the lack of rear seats. If I put them back in it will be quiet enough. Only take yours out at the track Mike. LOL

 

My dad loves my car. He usually drives a WRX and he switches with me every chance he gets. He says my car has a much more sporty feel, better brakes, and better handling. I put 17" SSR's with S-02's and Porterfield brake pads on his WRX, but it still can't compare.

 

hahaha my dad had to borrow my car one time, he told me 3 cars tried to race him on the way home from seattle. he just said, "i refuse to drive that thing!"

 

I wanted to see my car on the freeway so i let my dad barrow my car and i fallowed him in his car and well for a guy who drives slow (speed limit or just below sometimes) I could not catch him all I saw was a grey bullet flying around turns and looking for a time portal. I get home and I was like damn did you have fun and he told me if he did not have kids and morgage and a bitch *** wife (step mom) he would have me make a duplicate of my car for him . Later that night over dinner he told me how he loved the vtec punch and why the car was like that and after I explained it he proceeded to take my keys from me and said he was dirving home . I think my dad smokes the tires more than me
