I used to work at Autozone back in 01-02 and that stuff got recalled. I remember cause i had to pull that crap off the shelf and dispose of it (pouring it down the sink)

Never asked the manager why, people did buy it but never came back saying if they passed or not

It really depends what area you're failing too. Mechanic in a Can™ is no immediate fix for a broken IACV, a clogged catalytic converter, an intake manifold leak, or shot out oxygen sensors.

I know dumping it in wouldn't make the SRS computer reset, 'nor give me reverse lights. This is really only for tailpipe testing, and if you're having high hydrocarbons there, there are other solutions that are guaranteed to work.

i remember some people saying if you ran e85 on a vehicle not tuned to run it supposedly it would make it possible to pass. i mean i guess in a way it makes some sense. e85 has less energy content compared to gasoline and in essence you'd be running lean. which i guess theoretically might make it possible to pass. never tested or had the need to test the theory so i can't say lol.

i have a D16Y5 in my '95 DX, running the stock ecu (P06) and G2P was what the private inspection station put in it to get it to pass emissions... my HC's were ~180, dunno final, but i know it was under 100 cause that was the limit to pass... i have known a few others to use it with success (mostly non honda owners)
