what title says head unit only turns on if parklights are on on my 93 accord the power antenna seems to be a aftermarket replacement and may have something to do with this but other then that i have no other ideas because headunit is wired correctly as far as i know

 

If it was wired correctly it would come on when you turned your key, or after you started your car. Someone wired it the wrong way.

 

well this car has had some hack wiring done so im working with **** but thanx for the answer captain obvious anybody else have some ideas?

 

1. Don't be a smart *** when someone provides relevant input.
2. Obviously it's not wired correctly. You seem to think it is. That was my point.

no the headunit is wired correctly and whoever ****ed with this power antenna somehow ****ed up the power to it and the headunit

 

The HU "switched power" lead, [red] is connected to the stock radios illumination lead, [red/black] in stock radio harness, instead of the acc. lead in the stock radio harness, [yellow/red], and if it is wrong I would check the rest of the wiring of the HU...

LOL, turns on when the lights are on?? they probably wired the remote or power cable to the light cables
