hey guy recently i put in some kenwood speakers in my 98 ek and its making a chirping/croaking noise. its not static making the noise and there not blown cuz i got them last week at bestbuy. any ideas?

Hmm, well it'd help to determine what it was if you had a time line.
For instance; if it had been doing it immediately after the install, I'd wager a guess that the speaker wires or terminals are grounding out somewhere.
If it just now started; it could be a loose wire, grounding, or blown speakers. Possibly even the head unit.

well i doubt that its the cd deck cuz i just got that one last week. its a pioneer btw. its kinda weird cuz its only coming out the right 6x9. its been making it since i got them but i didnt really notice cuz i didnt put it up loud when i got it.
If it's only one speaker, check to make sure it's not shorting out on something. Maybe swap it with another speaker, and see if it still makes the same noise. The speaker itself could be the problem.
Ditto the above^^^.
Swap the rear speakers to determine if it is the speaker or something else.
When you remove the right 6x9 hold it upside down, [cone down] to make sure nothing was bouncing around on the cone, if clear test the speakers cone by gently pushing it in and out, [use both hands so cone movement is uniform] listen/feel for scraping of the VC, if clear hold speaker by magnet, [cone pointing towards ear] a few inches from ear, use heal of hand or side of balled up fist to give magnet a solid "thump", your listening for a rattle/vibration, [possible separated VC] if clear swap the speaker.
My guess is the "chirping/croaking noise" will stay with the speaker, now left side and you just have a DOA speaker, if you got it at an authorized local retail dealer they will most likely replace it under warranty if they hear it and understand you have determined it is the speaker.94
