Unusual Random CK Engine Light

Problem: My check engine light has been coming on for about the past month now. It started out happening at random times and would never come back on when i would cut off the car to ck the code. I never paid it much attention as it would only happen about once a week. Now, every time i drive my car, the ck engine light comes on. It usually happens about 6 to 8 minutes of driving time. It always goes away when i cut the car off. How am i suppose to pull the code using the jumper method?

Good one fdcusa.... I know how to pull the codes, and i know how to read them. What i dont know is how to pull the code when the check engine light will not stay on once the car is turned off. The problem is once i cut the key off to turn it back to the on position so i can pull the code is that the check engine light is gone. It only comes on a few mins after driving, and then goes away when i try to pull the code.
Well, then...
Try taking it to autozone and have them read the codes with one of those code readers, that might be able to pull some faults that the CEL light won't show. They have a little reader that plugs into to the harness.
Or, while driving, when the CEL comes on, have you pulled over leaving the car running, then jump the 2P Connector under the dash, and read the flashes then (Demo) ?
