You could cut the springs but it is going to do two things:
  • Change the spring rates in an unpredictable way
  • Reduce the available damper stroke in compression

Both of these things are going to compromise the handling of your car. Perhaps you should sell at a lower price. Suspension parts should not really be subject to the massive "Mugen tax" since they are a wear item.

Why cut them when you could just order shorter springs? How much travel do you think you have right now with the current ride height?

Tell that to the Moton users

I would strongly recommend against cutting the springs.
After cutting them, the valves inside the damper would be working in a range that they're not specifically designed to be working in. Needless to say it would affect performance. Also, getting shorter springs would not solve the issue, since the problem is in the working range of the valves.

My suggestion is to stick with what you have. They are excellent suspension for street.

why not mod the things that the suspension attaches to so you wont change the travel of the suspension itself? IE: Top hats, Trailing arms, and control arms

very little which is why im not worried about compromising the handling

that wont dramatically drop the car though

I would try to email king motorsports and see if they know what spring rates can handle those shocks then decide what spring I am going with from there.
