92-95 EG Glove box difference...pass. airbag vs non-pass airbag?
i didnt think there was a difference in them at all.

Dk if it affects it from fitting, but im sure someone knows
i currently own a civic with a pass airbag and i see no diff in that glove box than the one that was in my hatch with no airbag.
i do know that the glove box does not mount differently.
the only mount points are on the bottom, which is exactly the same between all the years.
the only diff i could possibly imagine is glove box depth. which i dont notice a difference in them

94-95 has the metal weights and the spring shock on the right side. this makes it not feel cheap when opening/closing like the 92-93 glovebox.
I don't think the differences have anything to do with the passenger's side airbag, very few of the 5th gen civics over here in Canada came with airbags period and I think they still have the same differences. My personal theory is that honda changed manufacturers, if you look you'll notice the climate control bezel on '92 - '93 civics is smooth, its textured on '94 - 95 models (its also a darker shade of grey on the later production models.)
STOP ANSWERING BS ANSWERS IF YOU DON'T KNOW!!!
Non-airbag glove boxes WILL NOT fit in passenger airbag dashes. The non-airbag glove box is larger and will not close with the passenger's airbag and metal reinforcement in place.
Now, an airbag glove box will fit into a non-airbag dash but why get a small glove box unless you have too.

Thanks
AHHH now I know why someone hacked the crap out of my glove box. It did have an airbag, now its blown up. I did notice that it is kind of hard to shut to. But im going to do the latter. Airbag Delete and Big glovebox
I won't wade in one the debate whether the differences are due to the presence/absence of airbags, but the above poster asked for a pic, and I am happy to oblige. Courtesy e-hatch.com:
