Could a k20 fit in a acura cl
i have a 97 acura cl i bought it as a project it was a shell wit a tranny (no motor) and i was just wondering if a k20 would fit with some modifications.
[i've not come across any kind of mount kit for that yet, so there would be a lot of fabrication involved. i guess otherwise similar to swapping one into a civic...] i take that back, thanks TheMuffinMan.
the real question is would a K20 do any better than a mild F20B or H22? and if so, would it be worth the extra cost and complication?
i can see there could be some benefit to a 6spd transmission, but still the question- is it worth the trouble?
i've wondered some about the feasibility of a K-swapped accord/CL as well...

It's not money wise, it's just a bragging point. The affordibility and ease of an H22 swap makes TONS more sense. And you retain AC and power steering without having to do anything custom.
*edit* The best option would've been to buy the K24 swapped 94/95 CD5 that Hasport did, guy was trying to sell it I think for $8k? Fully running, just had stock exterior. He ended up parting it out.

is there any reason to go with the K20 rather than the K24? i've heard about K20/K24 hybrids...even better?

the K24 will give you a good amount of power. I do remember the magazine article in import tuning was called "Swap accordingly" I still have it. It will give you a step by step on the work needed
