Right now I am doing a B Series swap into a 90 Civic Hatchback. I got a B16 motor from a 1999 Civic Si and I am having problems bolting up the clutch. When I bolt every thing up the forks on the pressure plate a flat. In other words bent in towards the disk. Well when the tranny is on. The throw out bearing has to extend all the way out before it makes contact with the pressure plate. I have tried an OEM Clutch kit as well from a 90-91 Integra because the tranny is from a 90-91 Integra ls. So not sure. One question I am wondering is if the flywheel makes a difference. Do you need to change it with on from a cable tranny or does it not make a difference? This is a pivture of the other clutch kit that I am trying to install. Also I look at the pressure plates they both have the same number on them so I have the same pressure plates on both kits.
what flywheel are you running?
if it is an oem one that has been machined, make sure that the "lip" has been machined to the same depth as original
edit: pic looks like the clutch disk is installed backwards

The disk is installed correct. It will only fit one way. In the picture the up set is sitting towards the pressure plate that is the only way it will fit.
About the flywheel it is OEM and it is the original flywheel 1999 civic si Hydro Tranny.
So do i need to take the lip off?

Well I double checked every thing and could not figure it out so I did a little measuring and marking and it seems to be ok. I took the tranny off and looked at the throw out bearing. With the throw out bearing at the tip of the slider I marked the case were the handle was at. Then put the tranny back on and marked the case again were the handle was at when it hit the pressure plate. Removed the tranny once more and lifted the handle to my mark were the throw out bearing hit the pressure plate and looked at the position of it on the slider and it was about 1/8 over the slider leaving plenty of room for more travel so yea I think i'm good. Wish I had some pics but you get the picture right. Thanks for all the help.
