Okay...
I have a 1999 CTR right hand drive. Got this car with no motor or trans. But the ENGINE wire harness is there. Its complete. Goes straight from ECU out into to the engine bay. I know i have a jumper harness on the ECU side which goes from obdb to obda (i believe). In the CTR before i got it was a B18c5. So it was wired for that motor.

Now i was given a perfectly good B16A motor and trans and ECU. My question is what do i need to do to make this combo work in my CTR?
I believe this b16a is a obd0? Not really sure..

if it is obd0 then you need to get a distributor, alternator, injectors, and some other plugs for it.

 

save yourself the hassle and get a new wire harness and use the appropriate jumper, if they used a jdm B18c and a CTR wire harness there will be no plug for vtec pressure switch, plus the plugs are all in different locations. get yourself a usdm ex harness and start from scratch to avoid the headaches. and makes ure your dizzy's OBD matches your ECU's OBD...

 

oh yeah and make sure it is a hydro tranny and not a cable, if it's cable you could either sell it and buy a hydro or buy the hydro to cable coversion kit..

 

so which year USDM EX ebh do i need? and what is approiate jumper harness?

haha.. sure i put some pics..just for you..i got it all strip down. so basically just the shell but since then i have put stock pieces back on. suprisingly it came with all legit papers reg in cali and with new vin stamp from dmv..

 

i can't wait how much you get it for?

 

honestly got it dirt cheap. one of my moms friend.her son had it. real young kid. crashed the front of it. stripped it down sold the parts and was left with the shell. so i swooped up on it. Paid $1000 for it.
