Car wont start, just clicks, dash dims out. not the battery/starter
Hello all. I just bought a 93 civic si that had been sitting for 1 and a half years. It needed a battery and a radiator. I put a new battery and radiator in it and had my buddy try turnning it over. It cracked for about 2 seconds then i believe he stopped "choking" it. Then he try starting it again, the starter just started rapidly clicking (click click click drrrr). I replaced the starter, cleans the terminals, cleaned the ground (thermo housing, radiator support, tranny, the negitive cable). still no solution. The dash lights will go out if you choke it for too long. I dont know whats going on guys. The car does have an alarm but it seems to work fine, you can deacavate the alarm with the clicker. Any ideas guys? You can pop start it just fine and it seems to run good. Please let me know if anyone knows about any possible solutions. Thanks, dave
