AS of lately we had a GREAT HONDA tech vancouver meet at AJ RACING in vancouver B.C. and we saw our friends from washington come over and join the party with us. Great turnout and great people and spoon s2k (drool).

Now its Time to get YET ANOTHER TYPE R meeting together (not again)

The Plan in Progress: (what some ITR owners have suggested)

1) we go GO-Karting, group rate and I guess since we can't race our R's against each other on the road without hassle we race indoors on mini lawnmover powered wannabe R's

2) We meet take pics and EAT and TALK and TALK and TALK as usal (ususally the first time attendees enjoy this)

3) We have a real BBQ this time, at a Gracious ITR owners HOUSE (wink wink) and have real food and everyone can bring stuff, POTLUCK ITR BC meet (real bbq)

4) We haven't had a meet in a while (yeah right, every month) its Summer so like we should drive our R's in the sun and cruise and big pimp up and down Robson and wherever we are seen (thanks to the punk who is 18 who suggested this) and SChool is starting so I want to HAVE FUN with ITR owners.

5) We Meet up, Cruise to some place to take pics and bbq or vice versa, we EAT then we go cruise and then part our ways

6) we have a beach event in white rock or something where we go there (i have no idea what to do there)

7) (MY personal idea) We Go down roads and RACE each other at 180kmh +++
ok just kidding that isn't my idea, just wanted to say something dumb
my IDEA is ALL ITR owners INTERESTED AND WHO WILL COME cuz i know a lot of you ALWAYS SHOW UP and THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT FOR ITR BC repping for it... SO SUGGEST your own thing is my opinion SUGGEST what you want to do or if you don't care just go along with anyone else you can type (I will show up REGARDLESS, even if we do nothing) so Suggest what you would like to do or see!!!

As far as DATE and TIMES, the summer is running out on us quickly
so we always give a weeks warnings
please say which DATE would be best for you, we want to SEE ITR owners out in full force (say what date and what you would like to do or see us do as a group besdies EAT, cuz we of course will eat hehe)

SEPTEMBER 1 (sunday) holiday i believe or something, school starts soon
SEPT 2 (monday) i believe its a holiday

SEPTEMBER 8 (sunday)

SEPTEMBER 15 (sunday)

and so on and so on
saturdays ususally some itr owners have work or what not that's why we choose the day of rest on sunday to play in the sun

It should be on a sunday for sure, that way most people won't be working, school, etc...
My vote goes for Sept 8

I'm still up for a cruise (not race!) up Cypress. It was cancelled last time mainly because it would have been a train of ITR's through richmond and vancouver. This time everyone should just meet up at the base of the mountain and cruise up from there. It is very easy to find, just take #1 west and you'll hit the Cypress exit eventually (I think it is #8).

A bbq is a must as well. But if it is raining we will need some form of shelter...?

Just some thoughts...

 

Please God not sept 08th.. That's the debut of my lotus at the all british meet in abbotsford, and I can't miss two R meets in a row.. After Sept 19th I will be able to host a BBQ at my place and everyone can park on my back lawn ( nice and private and I have a monster bbq ) My guess is that I could easily fit 14 cars or so...

BBQ in abbotsford is crazy... drive not saying i dont' like to drive, but damn its far cypress is far as well, sept 8th hmm... maybe we'll postpone to 15 for lotus since he can never come out to play with us

Awww come on.. It's only about an hour and a half drive.. Less if you live on the right side of Vancouver

But I'll come into Vancouver again if there is a meet there,,

Sup boys. If I had a type R, I'd come meet wit u guys. I have all winter now to buy one I geuss and am in no rush. Someone find me one. One of my best friends has a 99ITR with some nice **** on it. We will both be interested in going to meets next summer fo show. Send me whats out there or e-mail. Type Rs are the ****.

TOO FAR to Abbotsford?? itr-j - no offense but you are sounding very wimpy - I just drove my R to Calgary then Edmonton and back. 2500 kms in 4 days plus two 10 hour days at Calgary Race City. Abbotsford literally takes the amount of time to listen to one CD. Give me a break.

Lotus is a bang-up guy that will help you with any meet (and would likely help you put a FD in your car if you asked him nice enough). It would be nice to get out of the city for a get together if you ask me - less chance of porcine intervention if you know what I mean.

BPR - who is tired of the same old haunts.

p.s. Abbotsford sounds good, or Cypress. I would even drive to Whistler for the fun of the drive. Anywhere except boring flat-as-a-pool-table Richmond.

 

how about we have it on sept 11th and lets have a meet at the airport weeeee.

on a serious note, i'm down to go, but i'm not sure if my car will be fixed or sold by then.

itr-j u live in Richmond or somethin'? U sounded like my aunt who live in Richmond who never drive outta Richmond LOL. J/k.....

But geez as Big Phat R mentioned, Abbotsford isn't far at all ! I have friends who drive back and forth between Richmond & Abbotsford all the times man!

Btw don't complain gas is expensive. I'm sure u pay less than me while my dad's Volvo 850T suck a lot of gas.

 

Sorry if this is a little off topic, but i just wanted to say that I think that Vancouver, BC has the highest per capita concentration of ITRs and Preludes.

 

Umm yeah true we used to have lots of prelude on the street. But now I see more and and more RSX.
