about 3 months ago i bought my del sol. the previous owner had an alarm system in it. for about 2 months it ran good then last month it started actin up. would the alarm system have anything to do with ur car not startin? i replaced my main relay already, checked all fuses, all grounds, and everything else i could possilbly think of. any other ideas?

 

Yes, there could be something wrong with your alarm that would interfere with your car starting, depending on how/if the alarm was wired to the ignition. I ended up having to take my car back to the shop that installed my alarm when I couldn't start it with the key in the ignition, only by using the remote start.

Since you don't know how the alarm was installed, I'm not sure which wires you'll need to access to fix it. The fix would also depend on the type/brand of alarm you have.
