Ok here it is,

I have a 95 civic 2 door ex with power windows. I locked my keys in my car one day and my fat *** brother in law leaned on my driver side window and broke it. I replaced them with some ebay carbon fiber mirrors. but that doesnt matter.

Installing them made a power surge kind of sound. no fuse was blown and they dont work. could that make the switch itself go bad? the mirrors alone work with a 9 volt battery so i know there not shot. im not an electrical wizard so i dont know what went wrong. i just know no fuses are bad.
