Default bent valves

I got alot of bent valves on my head irs a gsr head with about inly two valves that arent bent. Can i just buy new valves and call it a day or do i need more done to the head.
Some valves are really bent as in a big gap from where there supposed to sit and some are just alittle off

You need to remove cylinder head Inspect all valve train parts of damage, inspect the combustion chamber, valve guides, valve seats, etc for damage. Make sure all parts/cylinder head is still within oem specifications

-Remember you cannot always tell if the valve is bent or streched by the common eye

All new valves would be recomended due to the low cost and a safe state of mind, and the possibility of your 2 (Straight valves) might be infact bent or streched. They each need to be seated properly and checked for a complete seal and properly adjusted with reassembly of cylinder head

Good luck

You might as well just rebuild the head with new valve seals etc since the head is going to come off. You need to decide if you are going to go with oversized or stock sized valves. You need to take the head to a machine shop so they recut the valve seats.

OEM seals are good, or there are Viton ones made by Ferrea that I think I heard are good.

ITR valves would be good, or any good aftermarket brand.

make them grind the valve seat as well.

the valves in my old head were slightly bent and made the valve seats an oblong shape, basically trashed them.

i agree with everyone who says rebuild the head, its easy to do and well worth it.

it is cheaper if you take it apart and all the valves out

and then tell them you will put it back together yourself

i did that, i got 2 heads checked, all my valves and seats ground and head leveled and he only charged me 25 bucks.

he got to keep the second head tho (it was pretty much trashed) guides were shot, seats were shot.

of course, i was wearing my honda uniform, he probably gave me honda dealership discount
