Prolems With ICM
I have a 96' Prelude V-tec and my icm keeps going out. I brought it to a mechanic they replaced the icm and I've replaced it 2 times after that.
Any suggestions on what could cause this? I checked the coil the secondary winding has 17.81k ohms, the primary winding shows 0.00 that doesnt seem right but I pulled the coil off my other lude and same thing is it possible that both coils are bad? I checked the coil wire thats fine, I have a new cap, rotor, Wires and plugs. I did continuity check everything seemed fine nothing is shorted to ground. Only thing I didnt check was the wire going to the tach but would that cause any problems??? I dont have a clue can someone help?

I went and bought another coil and they all check out the same. i replaced the icm a 3rd time and it fires right up but itll end up burning out again and i still cant figure out what the prob is. Anyone have any ideas?
Bump because i may be having this problem too. Its not a prelude though its a civic. I've replaced it twice, last time 3 months ago. I;m getting signs of a faulty ICM once again. If there is something wrong in my electrical/ignition system which is causing this, what could it be? I'm an idiot when it comes to electronics.
