thanks.. i was assuming the 22" slicks were a bit small for the amount of tq the stroker puts out..

apparently i read that the 2000 si tranny has a 4.26 final drive.. not sure how that will effect things..

2000 SI has a 4.4 final drive. That is a misprint in the manual or wherever you read it. Count the teeth on the ring gear and you should have 66 teeth, not 64.

thanks for the imput.. ive searched for a good thread with info about slicks but it seems i cannot find much.. i have some questions i think would be useful info if answered.

how to pick the correct slick for and application?
at what horsepower level should you go to a larger slick?

my thought was you would take hp and gear ratio numbers to figure out the proper size??

as for my question i think it was answered as 2 people whom have fast all motor cars have given the same answer.. i guess im just wondering how you came to that size?

just use a little common sense. ask yourself, what factors determine how much the slick will hook? It has to do with the contact patch and the weight of the car. Also, what size slick do you need to ensure you have enough gearing to get down the track? Run the smallest slick that hooks while still allowing you to finish up your run at a safe RPM in 4th gear.

The two guys with fast cars that posted don't have exactly the same setup as you, so their slick size may not be best for you to use. 250 WHP on a dynojet in a street CRX on slicks should get you around 11.20-11.40 range if everything is right.

how much does your car weigh? what are your current 60's looking like? what ET and trap does your car run with its current setup?
