Ball joint removal / repair tips?

Aright this might be a bit random but im trying to find out what the easiest way to repair/ rplace the ball joints on a 99 civic sedan. I dont have the time to rent or borrw a press or anything and was wondering if i could just grabe the control arms and ball joints from the junk yard and just bolt it on and use them for now?
