Lower Ball Joint Snapped

Lower Ball Joint Snapped
So my lower ball joint on the driver's side snapped on me today while driving down an alley. After waiting 2 hours for the tow truck guy I was able to take apart my suspension. The bolt coming from out of the ball joint snapped and is still stuck in the control arm. My question is how hard is it to replace the lower ball joint? Do I have to have it pressed in or take apart my wheel assembly? Also will a lower ball joint from another year civic or integra work? 99' civic si BTW.

Ball joints are easy. You should get them pressed in and out, but you can beat it with a hammer to get them in and out too.
