put a K&N air filter in your stock air box ? I have never heard of a stock air box being better than a CAI. Have you ever seen any high Hp cars with the stock air box? i haven't.

Honda spent alot of R&D on air cleaner system that incorporates water/air separation. You would be surprised how many people suck water into thier engines when thier car is under warranty. So alot of design goes into water separation. What you could do to improve flow without comprimising design is remove the valve on the Intake Air System. Inside the fender, there are two intake tubes. One has a valve and the other is open. the valve is supposed to open at 4000 rpm. But by now, alot of those valves are rusted shut anyway. Just an idea.

3" CAI dropped my IATs by 40* compared to 2.75" SRi.

I can't read jibberish. But whoever told you that a "modify stock air box" will flow better than a CAI is a idoit. Show me the dyno numbers where an OEM airbox "always won"

i did this on my eg: 3in sri tube going into the stock air box, then shaved out the lines inside the box, and threw in a k+n filter. im may swiss cheese the bottom but this is better than the sri and cai i had before.

Euro R intake manifold, AP2 throttle body, Type S intake chamber, K&N filter.

FTW.
