Not to over look the obvious, I know I need the engine and trans, wireing harness, ecu. What else do I need ? Also how much should the ECU cost? I found a good price on motor and trans Im also looking for a LSD and a reputable shop to do the swap im not quite ready to tackle a project of the stature yet, nor do I have a place to do it.

NO Dis respect. But the you don't need the motor mounts. I am doing a swap. 2001 H22a4 And so far we had to use the old harness. I still have to tackle in finding a ECU and some wire plugs...the one in the H23a are shorter.

 

Well of course you don't need motor mounts in yours, cause you're just swaping out the same motor...He's doing a motor swap into a 92 Prelude. I'm guessing thats what it is according to your screen name....5th Gen. all come with H22a4

 

So swapping a 5th Gen motor into a 4th Gen Prelude is different from what you're doing

i have done this swap. you do not need a new wiring harness, you do not need a new distributor and you do not need new motor mounts. the ones from your old engine will all work. also for the PS bracket you will need to use a ricriprocating (sp) saw to modify it to fint the h22a4 block. and as for an ecu, the p13's are really expensive so i just got a p28 for dirt cheap and had a hondata stage 2 system installed on it for about $200 more, i mean **** you'll prolly get a VAFC later anyway why not?
