Default Cages or X-Braces

I just gutted the rear of my 92 Hatch and I'm needing some opinions on the bracing for the rear. I want something that will look good as well as be functional. I have a Bride fiberglass backed race seat on the driver's side and a Sparco 3-point harness so I'll need something that can incorporate a harness bar also. My only Stipulation is that I don't want the cage or bracing to extend to the front of the cab unless its like the Cusco style cages that go around the dash rather than through it. In other words I don't want the drivers entry or exit to be hindered by the cage. Thats why I'm kinda leaning towards the X-Braces however I'm having trouble finding some. I found a pic of a Robear Racing full Anti-sway brace but they don't seem to make it for a 92-95 only 96-up. I also like the Weapon-R C Pillar brace with extensions but I can't find it either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys.

What are your plans for the car, drag race, road race or just street ?

When you figure that out, it will help us to guide you.

I have a friend whose roll cage is bent around the dash and it is harder it get in or out. You always are hitting a knee on it, lol. Decide what king of racing you are going to do and that will def help you decide. Good luck!

Alright I guess I should hav e mentioned what I intended the car to be used for. Its a drag car that will be driven on the street some.I'd like to road race it a little bit but 421HP might not help in an apex as much as it would hinder lol so I guess I'll rule that out. I have had a car with a cage that had the door bar extending past the driver's seat and under the dash. It was a pain to climb over when I wanted to drive so I'm trying to avoid that again. The cusco style bends around the dash and I can deal with that just don't want to cut the dash. I talked to a friend's Dad sunday and he's an old hot rodder so he's gonna help me with welding the cage in if I decide to go that route. It'd just be nice to bolt something in one weekend instead of welding it in.

You don't need a cage unless you run faster then 11.49

your answer is the autopower bar with harness bar option. direct bolt in and while not good for NHRA 11.49 and faster tech at some tracks it def helps stiffen the car and makes it safer then no cage at all. i use the basic street bar in my hatch and love it. i dont have a harness bar due to my kids knees would hit on it but some day when i stop using the car as a family car i will upgrade it.
