Default OT: w00t! more OEM goodness for the Turbo Pig

Volvo Optional Equipment spring strut support:

And yes, it's supposed to look like that. All aluminum, seems very sturdy. Mounts and welds are both pretty thick. Very light as well. Got it for $175 after tax, thanks to 15% VCOA discount.

Will one day be home to these:

All part of the Volvo Road Holding Kit - strut bar, Ohlins shocks, bigger sway bars, and springs. Just order from your local dealer

Yeah, T-5Rs are auto and agree no doubt.

Just think it'd be a pimp daily hauler if it was more relaible, and a tad cheaper to buy.

The R's still get a premium over the regular 850 Turbos, and they're harder to find. I probably saved four grand on the Pig because it's a manual

w00t! Installed and ready to go

Under an hour, with no beer! Can't start until the State game at 4:30

Perfect fitment, although I did have to move the ground wire for my boost gauge.

Damn, are my eyes deceiving me or are those remote reservoirs mounted on the strut tower bar for that Ohlins shock package? Very nice addition to the volvster. Now just get those GT rims mounted up on the other one.

Your eyes are fine

Shocks are $1100 for the front, $900 for the back though. I've told myself that even though I have the cash to buy them right now, I'll only buy them with supplemental income. Anyone got a part-time job for me?

[edit] J - need to figure out what finish to use on the GT wheels. Clear coat them as they are now or gunmetal. Hmm. They're bare and sandblasted right now. [/edit]
