timing help!!!

Default timing help!!!
i have a y/7/y8 mini me in my hatch and when i smogged it the tech said the timing was off by alot. would re-doing the timing fix this issue?

Are you unable to adjust the ignition timing to spec using a timing gun? If so, then the timing belt may have skipped a tooth.
