ITR owner, lookin to DD a 3rd gen TL! need some input fellas
Hey everyone,
I've had my Integra Type R for about 4 years now, and I just got a job in a new city about 100 miles away from my girlfriend, luckily I will be getting a bump in pay so I can afford a new DD, I was thinking of a TL.
The TL type-S's are so sexy to me, I love the wheels and the smoked tails, I've always loved a car with a sexy *** and the TL Type-S defiantly has it!!
Here are my problems,
Problem 1) I'm picky, I want a white one, and I want a 6 speed
Problem 2) I can't really find any for under $30k (I'm looking in the 25k asking price range)
Problem 3) I can't find literally ANY Manual trans's within 200 miles of Cincinnati, especially white ones.
So heres the input I'm looking for. I want a TS for that 3.5 RL Monster, but the more I think about it, the less important it is, I have the ITR for performance, maybe I can chill back with an automatic trans 3.2 and get good gas mileage when I go to visit my girlfriend... But that leaves the styling.
How easily available are aftermarket parts for the 3rd gen TL's? Are people smoking out their own tails to look like the Type-S? Are there lip kits available? I've been doing some research, but can't find much on the tail light mod.
Anyway, I'm new to TL's and am looking for the common things people do to these beauties to sex them up, heres an example of the look I'm going for.

I guess what I'm getting at is how hard is it to get my hands on some parts to mod a non type-s TL, because as far as stock goes, the 3.2 3rd gen needs some love.

go to acurazine.com. and click the 3rd gen tl sub forum. lots of info on their. any and all questions u have will be answered their.

That white TL looks like it has the aspec kit which was an option on the 04-06 TL's
Also since the Type S is an updated 3rd gen most parts are interchangeable with 04-06 TL's like taillights, headlights, grill, ect.
My advice is just to buy an 04-06 TL MT if you can find one and just modify the exterior.
