Default Painting Fenders?

Okay so I found some used green fenders for my 97 accord, problem is my car is black. Never painted before do have a gun though. How hard would it be to try and learn on these fenders? Is it worth me trying or should I have them done profesionally??

Not hard to paint a vehicle. As long you have access to the correct tools and knowlegdes to paint what-ever you like. You can try reading the sticky thread on painting your car on this forum. There are some good info there.

Just do it. Fenders and small parts like that are easy to do and for someone that has not painted before I don't think you should have any problems achieving quality results. Just make sure you use the right equipment and follow the tech sheets for the paint you use. For fenders almost any compressor will do. As for your gun just make sure you got the right tip size for the paint you are using. Get familiar with your gun and set it up to get the right spray pattern and once your fenders are preped go at it. For small parts its easy to keep a constant speed and distance so you shouldn't have any problems with coverage. Speed will differ between painters because of the gun, gun set up, and paint they use. You will have to find a speed that works well for you that give the best results. Be sure to give at least a 50% overlap.
