Get to the bottom of the obd1 or obd2 injectors
Ok i know their differences..in cc's and resistance and saturated and peak and hold...ive searched
And i know obd1 h22 injectors come with the green tips right?? but is that just jdm injectors or usdm as well.
can a obd2 h22 injector fit and work with a obd1 harness and obd1 p13?? are the plugs totally different from obd1 to obd2 injectors??
i apparently bought some obd1 injectors but the tips were black...the car(jdm h22a all obd1) runs and vtec engages but sometimes it bogs...i had major bogging before cause i was stupid enough to run h23 injectors. I want to get to the bottome line of this and im sure this will help other out.

obd1 plugs are different than obd2 plugs , you can make the obd2 injectors work but there is some wiring required, and yes only the jdm motors came with green tips, oh and if that guy that posted in your wtb thread has green tips for $45 buy those thats cheap
thanks for the info anton...i just need more comformation about having obd1 injectors with black tips...anybody else out there have them???
Peak and hold injectors require an external resistor pack. The saturated are high-resistance and don't. Look through 4gen and 5gen helms wiring diagrams. Wiring is pretty much the same except instead of the ground distribution block in obd2 H22's, there's a resistor pack.
^ well yea i know about the resistor box i have one still installed.... i guess overall...can obd2 injectors plug into a obd1 harness and injector plugs? are the plugs different??
i mean im just bugged out on searching and friends that have h22s all have green tips and i have black ones...and the 97+ h22 aka obd2 h22 come with black tips.

IIRC the OBD2 ones still use the standard Bosch connector, the injectors are interchangeable. If you run a resistor pack on saturated injectors I'm not sure what happens. It probably drops the circuit voltage and makes it harder to control the injector pulse. If the black tipped injectors have a higher resistance than your old H23 injectors then you can just remove the resistor pack and jumper all the positive wires to bypass the resistors and that should help a lot.

^ if i remove the resistor box and wire them all then i have to get an obd2 ecu...which is not what i want. So there is a high possiblity that i am running obd2 injectors in my obd1 setup??
Why would you have to get an OBD2 computer? The injectors don't give a **** about the ECU that controls them, just the voltage and current to pop them open. The only thing that might make a difference is that they are 290cc injectors instead of 345ccs which is easy enough to fix with a fuel pressure regulator. Just use RC's formula (√(new pressure ÷ old pressure)) * injector size = new rating. Bump pressure to make the 290s into 345s.
