i bought my crx si with a d15b, i just swapped to a b16 the guy that sold it had the fan rigged to be on all the time. no i can find the wires that go into the car that make the fan swich go on. i serched but people dont respond. thanks!

 

Look in back of the block under the intake manifold next to the knock sensor and oil pressure sensor. Its probably jumped so that it constantly gets ground

 

sometimes people jump out the fan temp switch (plug) on the harness with a wire bent into a "U".. find the clip that connects to the sensor on the thermastat and re-do everything back to original.

 

screw that do what i did, route the wiring to your head lights and the fan wil only turn on when ur lights are on

what what?! logically that would be the thing to do if you didnt have the original parts to make it work correctly. my corner lights are the ones my radiator is hooked up to so it dosent look too stupid during the day

cut the wire and run new wires from fan to the relay.

 

thats the thing, i cant find the cables the connect to the switch and i dunno where the relay is located...

 

is your car wire tucked? if not relay is supposed to be on the passenger side frame rail near the top in the engine bay.

 

yeah, don't wanna go running wires to the headlights. they are made to handle current for the headlights, not a fan AND headlights. if anything, like stated above, rewire the relay. have a haynes manual? it shows a pic of where the relays are at. helms is better, but haynes will work.

 

ok ive found the relays, the car is not wire tucked. i will try and wire it to the relays! thanks!

 

okay problem solved!!!!! once i found the relay, i cut throught the wire cover and tape and found the the blk/yellow wire and the blue one where cut right after the relay. I connected thoes two wires to my fan. tapped the thermo switch and voila. the fan came on. thanks, now i need to run it and make sure it comes on!
