jdm b16 swap in a crx
I am posting this for a friend i have no clue what you would use since i have a 97 hatch. Anyway his girlfriend cant drive stick and she doesnt want to i know i know plain stupid. Well anyway my question is can they use the stock wiring harness for the b16 since the crx was already automatic will everything plug right into place also they said they plugged in the ecu and it clipped into the stock harness. Any insight on this guys im clueless on the crx world.
There will have to be harness changes, since you are going from a d-series motor to a b, regardless of transmission being auto or manual. You also need to find out what obd you are running, because that will have something to do with the wiring you do as well.
Get a rywire conversion harness and call it a day, best decision i made.

first off you always use the stock engine harness thats for the car. next you modify that harness for the motor. if the crx is a dpfi you gotta rewire it to mpfi. then for the auto your gona need a b series auto tranny but im not sure if mounts will work on it. since they allready pluged the b16 ecu into the car and it fit that means it must be obd0. so no need to call rywire unless you dont know how to read a how to or dont know how to solder.
