Icon6 ??? on replacing my Civic brake master cylinder.

I'm gonna be replacing the Brake Master Cylinder in my '93 Civic Cx Hatch this weekend and just read thru this very nice DIY thread for the ITR mc/booster swap: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/how-jdm-1%22-itr-mc-bb-into-civic-install-818263/

My question is, when removing the old mc from my brake booster...do I need to crawl under the dash and remove the cotter pin from the clevis pin behind the brake pedal? or can I remove the mc from the booster with just the two nuts that attach it to the brake booster from the engine bay?

Thank You & God Bless

If it's just the MC, then it's just 2 bolts and two brake lines. Don't forget to bench bleed your MC before installing...

Thanks man. Yes...I have my bench bleed hose setup ready to go as well.

Will I need to bleed the brakes after the new mc has been installed and hard lines hooked back up? I just bled the brakes last week.

Yes you're going to have to remove and replace that cotter pin.
