Need help buying a new bike
Im trying to buy a new bike, preferably CBR or GSXR 600. I just want to know whats the most I should offer OTD without hassling or the bull **** that comes along with going to dealerships. Im alright negotiating but I just don't want to get ripped off.
Perviously I had a 07 gsxr600 then sold it, and ive had a decent amout of riding time. I also still have all my gear.
2009 GSXR600 Price: $9,299 otd
2008 GSXR600 Price: $8,599 otd
2009 CBR600 Price: $9,399 otd & Phoenix White: $9,599 otd

Height of summer... going to be a bit harder to deal.
If those are listed MSRP, I would start my offer about 8450 for that white CBR and plan on moving towards the counter offer from there.
If the guy laughs or doesn't take you seriously... walk away. Ballpark value

If you are paying cash, bring 8500 with you. Set it on the table and say I'll give you this for the bike you want. If they laugh go to another dealer.
Or just buy some guys '08 or '09 bike off craigslist for 6500-7k

You'll be hard pressed to find a bike dealer who will negoatiate. These days I assume it could be better with the lack of financing to enable goofballs who can't really afford a bike have one for the summer. But your better off to get quotes and be willing to travel, most dealers will only sell for what they quote. Good luck getting a new model year for 8,500. You'll have to look at 08s or 07s or wait for the new '10s to roll in.

a new CBR600RR msrp is 10,499 and a GSXR600 10,399. Thanks
Im not, I want to fiance it, my credit score is 737 last time I ran it. Honda has a promotion for 3.9% up to 36 months. I want to go for that, think thats a good deal? My credit union useaslly gives good rates but for bikes they only off 9%.
Thanks

Thanks everyone I would like to try to get one today, I really appreciate it
haha thanks, I plan on getting a slip on exhaust soon for the bike. I don't have any good pics but i'll take some later.
Its very nice, and she'll be rock solid and no shady history! I never bought a new bike yet, im just not that baller i suppose!
the black will be hard to clean without making swirl marks, my buddy is looking into buying a cleaning set from Suzuki, it even has a suzuki bucket, groan, but it has a microfibre type sponge like those neon/fluoro ones around. i'd imagine they're less abrasive than a sponge?

don't use sponges, no mater how soft they are, their is no where fro dirt to go when you wash the bike, use one of those gloves or mitts with the long hairs strands on it.

dude... that's not your riding position is it?

This is the one i'm using now, i kind of 'won it' in a raffle!

Are these the ones you're talking about?
i was thinkin where would the dirt go alright but they say to wash it well after each use and rinse it goodo beforehand. also states some good tips like to work from the top down, and leave the worst till last (prolly so it will soften)
i'd still use a sponge on the plastic behind the front wheel or under the tail if it was very dirty, rather than get the crap on my fancy neon noodle mitt
