speedometer in turbo b16/gsr sedan

speedometer in turbo b16/gsr sedan
have a turbo b16a in my egsedan.
with a gsr tranny.
my speedo worked fine till i swapped the motor and tranny in.
i have reference voltage ( right at 5 volts)
i have good power( right at 12 volts)
i have a good ground also.
i swapped the sensor on top of the tranny and the one wit hthe gear on it that goes in the tranny...
still does not work????
