i have a b18c1 motor fully done with a t3/t67 turbo and with a b16 Y21 tranny. it has a oem lsd which im actually afraid that it will break with the amount of power im trying to get. im getting a quaife lsd to solve that problem. now my question, should i just get a gsr tranny to put the quaife in or just use the b16 tranny? i only want a gsr tranny b/c the gears are longer. i never really had a issuse before with the b16 gears but the turbo was a lot smaller and since i have a bigger turbo the power will come later. is the gears between the gsr tranny and b16 tranny that much different? is anyone using a b16 tranny on a high horse power setup?

trying to hit 500+ on 21-23 lbs

i'll be using a b16a2 tranny on my build, 84.5mm ls.vtec fully built along with a fuly built gsr head, i'll be turning the motor to 10.5 max. im using a gt35r gtw

I'm using a b16 tranny with my setup.....Its a little short, I would prefer a GSR tranny if I had the choice, but I already have a Quaife for this one, so that's not gonna happen

if you're running big slicks a B16 tranny isn't really all that short... hehe

IMO GSR tranny. I find B16's to be short and the LS to be just a tad bit too long.

I'm running stock B16 trans with a quaiffe and stock axles with a lot more than 400 WHP.

I run a Mugen LSD setup for drag in a EG6 Y21 on my B18C setup. With my old 215/50-15 ADVAN A048 (SS compound) tires the EG6 tranny produced better 60ft times than my GSR tranny and got me into 3rd gear much faster. Hopefully it will do the same with 225/50-15 BFG's.

its open diff for me right now , but i dont plan on launching or taking toi ote htrack till i get a quaife or find a killer deal on a quaife equipped tranny. I had thought anout buying an obx lsd, but i dont know how they would like 600whp and 10k rpm

i have b16 tranny with my setup, seems kinda short and im not even pushing that much hp. i think when i rebuild i will go gsr.

i would only run the quaife lsd....i need a gear set and axles..i tend to break stuff..plus the tranny has miles on it...i already got act xtreme pp clutch..with prostreet 12lb flywheel

a gsr tranny is what i want but not having any luck with finding one. i guess im just being impatience. ill wait and get a gsr tranny to put the quaife in. thxs guys for all the comments
