Checked my ROD bearing clearances with ACL bearings...
I decided to run ACL Duraglide bearings in my engine. Please see my other post for the results of the clearances check for the main bearings. This post is about the clearances for the rod bearings.
First, the pics.

#1 Rod torqued to spec with a strip of green plastigage in there

Crushed plastigage after removing the rod cap.

You can see how low the piston sits at BDC. Notchin the block was required to get the Eagle rods to clear.

All bagged up and ready to go the balancing shop...

Ok, now the numbers.

Measured Clearances
Rod #1: .0015"
Rod #2: .0013"
Rod #3: .0015"
Rod #4:. 0015"
Factory Spec
.0009" to .0016"
Service Limit
.0020"
I'm happy.
Thanks to Rocket @ HondaSaver for the great price on the bearings.
Sonny
ACL's are cheaper, less work to get the right size, always in stock and I think are a better quality bearing....Mike
