My roommate was doing some regular maintenance on his car when we noticed his hood wouldn't shut tight. well after looking around we found that the right bolt that mounts to the frame is cracked. Ive tried searching but all i got was for sale threads..

Has anyone had this trouble with their RSX? Is this a Serious issue? How do we fix it?

lol i had too

 

mine did the same thing. you have 3 options to fix it...

1. get hoodpins
2. get a whole new core support
3. try to get it welded in place and hope the thin sheet metal doesnt break.


i had a friend weld it at least 4 times and broke every time after a few days. so i just had a new core support put on. but i also think that middle part of the core support is on by bolts. not for sure though..

 

Thanks AdamDC2 he was going to try and weld it but I think ill talk him into just getting the part.
