of all the b series how do they all rank? any combination of block or heads better than another so I should pretty much rule out the use of the h22. thank you for your input silverEK!

Just trade for the 99 H22 swap... You bike is worth more than that car... So if you price the car at $3000... Tell him you need $2000 on top of that...

Then sell that B16, B18 block & vtec head... Add that to the $2000

And put all that towards buiding and boosting the H22...

They are all good boost applications. the difference is the amount of torque, and rev range. the B20 is the only platform in its stock form that is not the best for forced induction.

Start reading take your pick and make a decision.

thanks solo$tyler for feedback
but woooah.. D>k? really??
I figured d to be at the bottom of the list..

the Shodan::
let me start from scratch. now, if I am to build a motor for FI, how would they stack up against each other each series.. and more specifically what combinations of heads and blocks will be most productive in B series.. ex b16a/b18b/b18c/lsvtec I dont know where they stand individually once built according to FI

H22 will make more torque on the stock motor...MIne makes 421whp and 315 tq on 11psi on e85....

See. that's the thing. All of the b-series that you describe "stack up" equally, yet DIFFERENTLY. There's not one "better" than the other based upon the ones you're listing. The difference is in TORQUE due to the differences in displacement. They all "take" to boost quite well. The question is, what is your budget and what you have available? What is it that you're trying to do? Do you want to rev higher, with less torque, or have a more powerband that deals with a bit torque and power? What is the purpose of the turbo car? These are the things that you have to consider. Unfortunately, we can't answer that for you. I'm not trying to be enigmatic, but we can't do that for you.. You need to research your options of cost, availability, purpose and need for your car. This we cannot answer, so you're going to get a wide variety of opinions with no DIRECT answer to your question, because it can't be answered.
