First build, I got a quick question. Help! Please!
I just rebuilt my 96 Integra GSR engine. And i've used Kings bearings. And I made sure everything is within specs with plastigauge. And I torque the bolts down to suggested torque specs using a Helms manual. But after everything I tried turning the crank with bare hands and it seems to not move a bit or other words, its hard to turn. I dont know if im doing it wrong or im missing something but I know when i took the GSR engine out. I can rotate the crank really easily with minimal force. Is this normal? Help?
so where are you turning it? crank pulley? the actual crank? whats all bolted to the crank? i remembered when i took apart my ls block, it was hard turning the crank with my bare hands and all the rods and pistons were still in the block. maybe check your bearings, they mite be backwards or your rod caps mite be backwards as well...that happened to my uncle before...and it was hard to turn it even with a breaker bar...
no its not normal. i suggest you go double check that you put everything in right. did you put any engine break in lube on the bearings before putting the rods caps, etc back on?
yes i used assembly lube on everything. bearings, bolts, etc. i just worry I might have flip the main girdle the wrong way and might mix up the main caps 1 and 5. anyone have a picture of the GSR main girdle installed properly on the block?
