instaed of bumping old thread making new with updated info.


i have had alternator tested

replaced vss sensor


5 min ago checked the voltages on the vss plug. tested out all good. 5v to the constant 12v to the power and ground 0.

i also tried what someone recomended in spinning the pin in the vss to see if speedo moved, it did not.



whats the next step to diag? i checked the connections on the cluster and all were in good. do i need to buy a new cluster now?

i had the same problem, i got a vss from auto zone thinking it was good. Well the part was new but didnt work, took it to my mechanic he went and got a vss from honda and there you go. All good again, maybe i just got a bad vss from auto zone but from now on ill just go to honda

 

how much did you pay for the honda one?

i got my vss for $20 off of ebay. guy had 99.9%feedback and like 3000+rating

should i see if i can return it? ive heard of some people spending liek $100 on a vss... that sounds rediculous
